So as you guys can tell from Instagram and Youtube lately
I LOVE MATTE LIPSTICK!

SO when I received these lil babies from Jordana
I was STOKED...

They are available in 12 different shades
and avg in price at around $2.99

So of the BEST features of these matte lipsticks are:

The color range.. there are several purple tone
which can be hard to find within inexpensive brands.

The texture; The texture of these are creamy and pigmented.
They cover lip pigments very well and last all day.

They swatch very well and the color stays true throughout the day.

These also work really well with lip liner. I like
how well these mix and mingle within themselves. They also
work very well with others as well...

These will be available in February and are a MUST HAVE!

Texture | Soft Matte Pigmented creamy
Coverage | Opaque
Color Choice | Varied and smart classic & trendy
Wear | Long Lasting and comfortable
Scent | no major scent noted
Perks | Price point. You can buy the WHOLE Collectio
Draw Back |  Not a super dry matte. Which some prefer
The Finish | Matte yet comfortable easily made glossy
Conclusion | Great product at a great value

NYX High Voltage Lippies Swatches + Review

Beautifully pigmented and creamy.
I am VERY excited about these +NYX Cosmetics High Voltage lipsticks.

The array of color is amazing, as to be expected with NYX..
They NEVER spare the drama.
Definitely the kings of inexpensive prestige makeup brands, in my opinion...

My favorite products from NYX have to their skin prep & finishing
products.
i.e (primers and finishing sprays)

Next favorite is for sure their lip products! I was pretty excited to get invited to their
annual after IMATS party... It was a Masquerade ball and it was beautifully
adorned with projected NYX logos and makeup
and cupcakes & a flip book booth,  OH MY!

Click HERE to see photos from the night

It was amazing, open bar and gift bag HEAVY! My.Type.Of.Party...

In the gift bag their were over 300 products. YES I said 300!!

Of the MAJOR swag in my bag, the High Voltage Lipsticks stood out!
I HAD to do a quick review on the new objects of my affection...

I've had a few days to play with them here are my thoughts...

Texture | Creamy moisturizing more of a balm consistency. I find that they go on better
and stay on longer when your lips are moisturized and hydrated, yet not wet to the touch.

Color Choice | I LOVE the color choices! They have the 90's colors we all love... The un shakable HOT orange and warm purple tones that has been killing for like 4 years now and some beautifulllll
mauves... I love the nudes available as well!
A veritable rainbow of awesome lip days and nights... I can see it.. falling asleep in a 5 color purple ombre lip..
This in my future REALLY!

The wear | They wear pretty well to be as moisturizing as they are, and like most lip products
they last longer & wear a bit better with a lip liner or base.

The Scent  These have a baby soft hint of vanilla. Super clean and undetectable even to
the most scent-setive of noses.

Perks | They layer well! I have created SO many ombré lips looks with these lippies it's crazy!
I love that you can have fun with so many at once!

Drawbacks | Slim to none. As to be expected some colors are more pigmented.
The reds (of corse the brown tones and the purples) reign supreme....

Conclusion | I LOVE that they have SO many warm and cool counter parts!
I love the slim packaging
& the fact that you can se the color straight away!
I love that the are virtually scent free & layer sooo well!

The Finish | Some have more of a buttery finish a few of the reds
and the dark purple finish almost like a liquid lipstick. Very smooth velvety even!

RATING / 4.7 out of / 5

I can't WAIT for these to be available in mattes (because I know they will) ...

That is THE only thing I can really comment on.
I am a HUGE matte girl! I will certainly
use these (to death)
I just know if they were matte they'd KILL the scene!
.. even harder.. lol

Check out these swatches!!

How to make Makeup LAST

Runny Makeup is NOT the Business and unless you have been crying showering or swimming it is also UN Necessary!...

Runny sticky makeup that rubs off your face on to his collar could very well be YOUR FAULT! Here are some QUICK EASY ways to help your makeup LAST LONGER look BRIGHTER and be more VIBRANT!

Best of all... most of these remedies can be found in your makeup stash!!

Foundation

Primer:

Foundation primer like any other primer should be aplied prior to your paint (paint) Foundation.

There are MANY different types at different price points for different consumers
of different ages, skin types and or skin needs...

Oily Skin:

Shold look for oil free  and or mattifying primers.

- Click HERE for a video on Mattifying Primers

Aged:

I would look for a moisturizing primer that is of a thicker consistency. I recommend
L' oreal Studio secrets or Sephora Wrinkle filling primer.

- Click HERE for a REVIEW on Sephora wrinkle filling primer.

Acne Prone:

You may have oily skin so something that is mattifying oil free
and possibly also something that has (Green) color correction for redness.
Makeup forever makes awesome color correcting primers. (apricot for brown marks)

- Click HERE for a VIDEO on Makeup Forevers COLOR CORRECTING Primer
- Click HERE for a video on covering ACNE and DARK SPOTS

Red:

Look for a primer with a green tint. Don't be afraid... your skin may take on an olive or greenish
tint, your foundation will lay over it very well.
--------------------------------------

 BLUSH

Cream Blush

Cream Blush as a BLUSH PRIMER is the way to go when it comes to making your blush last longer.

You can use a NUDE Blush to use on ALL Blushes
or a cream blush to match your powder.

If you DON'T have a Cream Blush you can use a lipstick
it work the same way and you can get lipstick and blush in nearly
matching shades.

A great cool shade is Tan and a warm shad is Natural.
--------------------------------------

Eyeshadow

Eyeshadow primer is pretty important.

You can be light skin dark skin have dry or oily skin... e/s primer can make the most of cheap e/s and make cool e/s EXTRA special. It can also be replaced by concealer and or eye drops and glycerine.

I like L'oreal Decrease and think it is comprable to Urban Decay Primer Potion also known as UDPP.

They both leave a soft cast on darker skin but is covered up by eye shadow.
--------------------------------------

LIPSTICK

Scrub. Moisture. Line. Apply. Blot. Powder
----
Apply. Blot. Powder.

Moist lips combined with a nice creamy but not too
creamy liner is great! Another trick is to use a waterproof eye liner. I know they
makeup waterproof lipliners but eyeliners come in more colors and are *often cheaper!

Applying a powder not only helps you lipstick to last longer but it can make any of your
favorite glossy lipstick matter or Velvet when you add some gold or silver eyeshadow to the
center.
--------------------------------------

IN GENERAL

Oil & Oil ---- Water & Water

This concept is REALLY easy to understand... yet it is also easy to screw up.
There is room to sway buuuut it is NOT in the foundation moisturizer department...

If you have OILY SKIN and opt for hydrating but OIL FREE moisturizer...
you should follow suit with FOUNDATION.

It's SIMPLE.

If your skin is dry a moisture rich foundation will have oils in it hopefully
natural and not too heavy you can follow in with a foundation for dry or combination skin... I say
combination because unless your skin is SEVERELY dry a foundation with oil AND a moisturizer with oil MAY be too rich.

(test these theories on your skin with samples of high end and full size drug store to find you cup of tea)

Drugstore Makeup Haul | Lipstick Foundation Lipgloss

Drugstore Makeup Haul | Lipstick Foundation Lipgloss

Maybelline 24 Hr Color Tattoo

Colors:
Tough as Taupe
Audacious Asphalt

I purchased these two Cream eyeshadows from Target.
I really like the pay off the offer and if they're ANYTHING like the L'oreal
H.I.P Color truth Cream Liners they will be AWESOME.

I have NOT used them aside to swatch them, however,
they stayed on my hand for quite some time afterwards and had to be removed with
soap and water.

Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam

Color: "Light Cocoa"

I am a BIG fan of Maybelline's foundations
and am ORDINARILY color Cocoa. This new "Light Cocoa
should be interesting to try. When applied to my hand it comes out a bit light..
oxidizes and later resembles the Cocoa that I am used to. No smell and it came to a nice
dry streak free finish. It has an SPF of 16 which is GREAT (year round) and also seems to be a light
wearing foundation with a buildable coverage. I would apply this with my hands or a sponge.

L'oreal Le Gloss

Color: Nude Touch

I am a HUGE fan of L'oreals lip products, so it was NO surprise
when I fell in LOVE with Le Gloss. I have MANY colors... My latest is Nude Touch. It is a soft  rosy nude great for cool (redder) skin types. It has a SOFT finely milled silver shimmer and a NON sticky
finish... These Glosses also have a pleasant scent and wear pretty well... I never
really notice how much I have to re-apply... as I am a chronic lip gloss applier!

Maybelline 14hr Super Stay LipSticks

Colors: Keep me coral
Continuously Cranberry Till Mauve do us part

I am NOT the biggest fan of Maybelline Lip products or
Covergirl for that matter... They ALWAYS seem to be really pigmented...
but in their efforts to make it smell good look good and or wear well... they
fall flat... the consistency is "weird"... for the lack of a better term. It
settles in creases and does the whole wipe on... wipe off jazz... I'm
NOT saying these are not worth a look or even that they shouldn't be purchased...
but these are NO comparison to Revlon's Lipsticks... which are creamy pigmented and comfortable
to wear.. even if they don't smell like candy.... (take note maybelline)

Continuously Cranberry has to be my favorite color followed by
Till Mauve do us part with Keep me coral in at last.
Usually it'd be the inverse.. however... Continuously cranberry is
BRIGHT rich and the consistency is the MOST
wearable same goes for Mauve and the Coral color (though beautiful) has too many
shimmers for me to really get into it.

Poppy King for Boots No. 7

Colors:
Number one History (Gloss)
Number five Intrigue (Gloss)
Number Seven Allure (Gloss)

Number one History (Lipstick)
Number five Intrigue (Lipstick)
Number Seven Seduction (Lipstick)

I have to say that the Bright Fun almost Vintage packaging
SOLD me. I'm Not SUUUPER into Packaging but I really dug these
polka dotted slim and BRIGHT boxes.

I really like theses nice glossy pigmented glosses that are sheer and NON sticky!
I think these will make MANY appearances in my videos for review as well
as tutorials. The lipsticks are sheer as well with just enough pigment to catch an
eye... hold it.. and let it go. I like the fact that they are not to saturated with
scent or glitter. This is not lil mama's lip gloss... it pops...
but with sophistication and a cool minty sensation.

Number Seven Intrigue is my favorite. It reminds me of what Fig Jam would
be if it were a Lipstick. It's the color of my lips in summer. A cool dark plummy
brown that flatters my face while not showing up the rest of my makeup! It can be worn alone for a cool coy day or with a plum liner to amp up the grown and sexiness of it all!
