Review & Swatches | OCC Lip Tars

Lip Tars are from Lecosmetique.com

Black Metal Dahlia | Easily my FAVORITE color from the Obsessive Compulsive Modern Craft
Collection. I love the blackened red burgundy tonal range of this color for fall! I LOVE the pearl to it, and I am NOT a huge fan of pearl finish lip products, however, this was done right! Another this I like about it is the texture, the pearl in it give it a nice smooth grit, if that makes any sense.

Role Play | This is an electric red! It's very HOT! This also has a
metallic finish and a fine glitter. This is an attention grabbing color for
sure. I would line this with a super deep warm brown or super deep warm burgundy
type of tone...

Anita is a beautiful safe tone with edge, it's a nod to the 90's when EVERYONE wore
brown lipstick and or liner... it's a brown maroon color that many women will
find a familiar comfort in.

Sebastian is the dark horse.. or maybe I should say pale, horse of the team. It's alien and odd and sooo alluring. Theres something so right and wrong about it... It's "whimsical" a friend of mine said... It got a lot of "oh, hell no's" on instagram... but this liptar wasn't made for any and every woman. It can be manipulated into a cool ombre lipstick type of deal... I could even see it with black blue  and or  purple lip liner... it'd be killer.

Dekadent | I love this color. It's a sheer blueberry purple tone. It is super shine and
would look really cool over matte plummy pinks and purples... It would also look good
in a purple lipliner ombre duo.

Mein Heir is a kitten nude. It calls the memory of all my white girlfriends putting their concealer on their lips... However the warm tone in this same us from deathly porn star lips.. and depending on how sheer and what liner you wear it with, it could be the everyday type of gloss... ya know the one you're ALWAYS looking for because you have 8 handbags and you can NEVER remember where it was last... :) yeah. That kind.

Sugar Coat Nail Polish, a Sweet Treat?

I have always been a fan of fun unique nail polish. From glow in the dark to scented.. fun nails.. are well, FUN! So when I was introduced to the notion of textured nail polish a few thoughts came to mind. 1.) I actually though I created textured nail polish... well I did... I painted my nails with glitter than painted a coat on top. Voila! 2.) My idea failed.. they snagged were kinda dull looking and took away the purpose of the glitter... 3.) I was hoping it'd be a lot less expensive than caviar nails....

Enter Sally Hansen "Sugar Coat" I line of textured nail color. I purchased my first two colors at Target... and couldn't wait to try them. My 1st conquest was Bubble Gum

A bluish pink than some may call a purple... GREAT color pay off with even ONE coat.. It also dries VERY fast... I wanted to love this product.. but it brings me back to the textured nail polish I created... It's a cool idea but needs some work. 1.) The textured bits.. or the "sugar coat" is DULL the bits don't shine twinkle or look anything interesting weather you're up close or far away... it almost looks like your nails were %95 dry... and then you fell asleep and rolled over on them.... 2.) they don't necessarily sang, however they do somewhat catch things.. . they also hold on to dirt... Not only dirt... but... ok... Say for instance you apply makeup with your fingers or you're applying some body cream that has color or shimmer... the nail bits hold on to it...  They are a great price, and are readily available... The lacquer DOES take on a bit more personality when a top coat is applied... however as you can tell from the photos... it still leave a lot to be desired...

With the success of Crackle, Magnetic & insta drying nail polish from Sally Hansen.. I can excuse this miss... along with the misses of Fuzzy coat and a few others ;)

My so-so experience has tamed my desire to try the WHOLE collection. Don't get me wrong these are cool... and if you know a girl who collects nail polish... get her ONNNNE &&& a good bottle of top coat!!! They're at least worth the sentiment...   They come in an array of popular colors such as Mint, black white & red...   I do hear they have glittery ones as well so hopefully they will be a bit more fun!! Happy hunting!

Bobbi Brown Foundation Review & Tutorial

So, I have been a fan of the Bobbi Brown color theory for a while. According to Ms.Brown's theory is that all tones have a warm base... at least when it comes to makeup... I used to wear COOL toned foundation (what's YOUR undertone) exclusively. Once oxidation would set in, I'd be a MESS!

I decided to try out warmer foundations after a while, and found that I get a better more natural look.... I DO however still use cool bronzers (MY favorite Bronzers) around the edges of my face.... Using the two toned method.., I have found works on most to ALL skin types and tones.... OK so on with the review....

Upon my 1st impression I was in love with it for superficial reasons. The packaging has a matte frosty feel. I liked the smell, and am a HUGE fan of PUMP foundations... Once I got over the smell the packaging, how it felt in my hands and the fact that it was a HIGHLY raved about product... I commenced with applying it.

LOVE! Okay... Let me start by saying I LOVE the way it feels when it 1st goes on... it's smooth and moisturizing with out being to gooey or oily feeling... which brings me to the fact that... it's OIL free. It's GEL based and you can tell RIGHT AWAY! Next thing I LOVED was it's matte oily free, gel based, however it doesn't look DRY dead or cakey...

The fact is... I'm a darker complected woman living in LA and I am not 12... so the fact that this wears as well as it looks and performs in the heat for 12+ hours is AMAZING to me...

I hear that this foundation does NOT compare to the Bobbi Brown Natural finish, I have NOT tried it yet but am anxious to! If you have tried it leave a comment below letting me know what you think!
